THE GRANDma HEIST

THE GRANDma HEIST is a 2D top-down stealth puzzle game where you take the role of "Granny" - an older woman trying to rob a bank in order to afford a retirement on Gran Canaria. Throughout the game you are tasked with trying to navigate around a bank while avoiding being spotted by patroling guards in order to find keys to unlock the banks big vault where the prize money lies. The player also gets to solve small puzzles to try and unlock the safes where the keys are hidden, and - in case they're spotted - try to negotiate a way out of sticky situaitions. The game was made for a game design course at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (TPD4168) together with my team: Dana Yerbolat and Carina Jagtøyen, and later improved with the help of Nasra Mahmud Muhamed and Mailynn Tran. It was developed in Unity with the use of fmod for sound integration.

THE GRANDma HEIST is also a winner of the Best Audio Design Award at Norwegian Game Awards 2026!

For THE GRANDma HEIST I was the main responsible for music and sound, including the in-game implementation. Additionally, I also drew all the backgrounds and background-elements in the game, drew grandmas' talking portraits and made Granny's walking animations, and also did some writing for the dialogues with the guards. I was also involved with developing ideas and solutions for the game throughout the whole process.
